Danville Chuck

Troop 306 Antenna continues

Steve N9UIB and Wayne AC9HP arrived at Troop 306 scout hut to secure the antenna cables we left and raise the antenna about another 20 feet. When we arrived we found that the weather had broken the feed line. We raised the antenna and secured the feed line to fix another day.  

WD9BSA Antenna raising

I would love to report that we successfully installed the windom antenna for the WD9BSA station but unfortunately the installed fell apart at about 2 pm.   We met at 11 and really got started close to 12 pm.  Noah was our ladder climber and was able to mount the balun up in a tree at about 30 feet. The 13 Colonies event is a good way to test your stations ability to be heard on the East Coast. If you get all 13 stations you can get a “Clean Sweep” award.
